Our Roots

Our history begins as early as 1887, when Georgios Varinos, son of Evgenios was born in Piraeus.

He studied Law in Athens and started his career, in the late 1910s, serving as a Judge. This is when the family legacy in Law began.

Almost a decade later, Georgios started working as a lawyer in Piraeus until the 1960s.

Meanwhile, his brother was working as a notary, also in Piraeus.

The son of Georgios, Evgenios Varinos, born in 1917 in Piraeus, studied Law in Athens, and following two World Wars and a Civil War in Greece, he initiated what would be the second generation of law practitioners.

With more than 35.000 notarial acts and deeds from 1960 to 1990 in his records, Evgenios, was acknowledged as one of the top notaries in Piraeus, leaving a great legacy for generations to come.

Daughter of Evgenios, Paraskevi Varinou, worked as a lawyer for almost a decade, before becoming a notary in Piraeus, in 1988, taking also the vast archive of her father.

As a notary, for more than 35 years, she has participated in major real estate and wealth arrangement transactions, elevating the family tradition even higher, to become the link with the fourth generation of law practitioners.

Honoring the family tradition, Konstantinos Petoumenos, son of the lawyer Michael Petoumenos and the notary Paraskevi Varinou, represents the fourth generation of law practitioners.

With a strong academic background in Greece and in the UK, along with a significant working experience in top tier business service providers, Konstantinos created the KMPLaw Firm in the 2010s bringing the family legacy to a century after Georgios Varinos began in the 1910s.
